Clearing the Cache

“Clearing the cache” refers to the process of deleting the data history in your internet browser. I am employing some poetic license to share the interesting links open in my tabs.

The first story is “How to Properly Make Up A Bed” from Schumacher. One of the things I love about this is the variety of answers from ten very different designers about how to make a bed. The designer of the room pictured above and I share the same pet peeve –duvet inserts that lump up. Grrr!

Heidi Przybyla is one of my favorite reporters on MSNBC and I was surprised to learn from this article that she is a not only a native of Detroit but studied at Michigan State University. Go Green!

This article talks about how crazy the Michigan real estate market is currently — prices are on average 13 percent higher in 2020 than the previous year, and in some random places, like the county where my parents live in northern Michigan, even higher than that.

The reason for it? From the article: “with travel restricted and people staying home more, people wanted to focus on their living space. Some chose to renovate existing homes. Others saw opportunities to take advantage of (remote work) and move to different locations”.

I turned on the Today Show with Hoda & Jenna yesterday to see my favorite designing couple, Nate Berkus & Jeremiah Brent, talking about their new home and the show they are competing on together on HGTV — Rock the Block. I haven’t started watching it yet, have you?
